The meaning behind the logo

The new Hillside logo was designed to show the vision and heart the heavenly Father has given us. The arrows in different colours represent the different types of practical and spiritual training that is taught. Our heart is to equip believers for effective works of service through which the great commission can be fulfilled.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”Matthew 28:18–20

The cross in the centre represents Jesus at the centre of all we do. The brown bowl at the bottom represents servanthood and humility as the starting point to change. The blue at the top of the globe represents God’s word coming down from heaven, revealing the secrets of God’s kingdom that bring new green growth to the soil of our hearts. The gold lines coming down from the top reveal God’s glory as it covers the earth while we live out God’s promises.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”John 10:10
“To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’”John 8:31–32

Strength for the weary, hope for the willing

28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.Isaiah 40:28–31

Hillside Foundation has a vision to equip leaders, pastors and individuals for works of service in God’s kingdom through various spiritual and practical courses taught at our Foundation. We have a fully equipped Bible school where we have put hundreds of individuals through our equipping courses.

The courses range from a diploma in biblical studies to a degree through ISOM International Bible School. We also run various short courses through the Family Transformation Centre on marriage, family and who you are in Christ. Our training centre also runs courses focused specifically on missions.

Our Farming God’s Way course is both a spiritual and practical course, teaching sustainable farming methods and addressing the whole person — spirit, soul and body. Farming God’s Way is the love of God with boots on, bringing job creation and food security to the poor. We are joining hands with all of these incredible organisations to work towards fulfilling the last words of Jesus — the great commission.

Farming God’s Way

The love of God with boots on

Farming God’s Way is both a spiritual and practical course, teaching sustainable farming methods and addressing the whole person — spirit, soul and body. It brings job creation and food security to the poor, and has the potential to break the yoke of poverty and help feed the nations.

We teach it from our model garden on the farm, using six principles that God has shown us in the most biodiverse ecosystems of the world.

Check out our Facebook page, Hillsidegroup@2020, for upcoming trainings and workshops and how you can get involved. For weekly podcasts on various teachings and for spiritual growth, follow the page too.
